The tails of soft green seed heads look like ropes of flowers and are perfect to support the Dahlias and flowering at exactly the same time later in Summer and Autumn. You can ‘pinch plants’ to increase the yield of smaller more usable stems or plant them ‘unpinched’ for dramatic garden display – the choice is yours, experiment ‘try both’!
