Scabiosa atropurpurea 'Summer Fruits' has fully double, lightly scented pin cushion flowers in several different shades of pink, red, lilac, purple and burgundy. Scabiosa makes excellent cut flowers and have a long vase life.

It prefers in full sun and well-drained soil but can deal with some shade. Cut or deadhead blooms to prolong flowering or leave on so that the plant will self-seed. The birds also love scabiosa seeds!
